Biography
I’m Delson.
A multidisciplinary artist, researcher, and lived-experience expert.
My work starts with art — not as decoration, but as survival. Every painting, performance, or intervention I make comes from a place of urgency, not ambition. I began making art because I had no other language left. Over time, this urgency transformed into method — and method into movement.
Out of my art practice, I developed MetaHolistic Art Therapy: a trauma-informed and body-aware creative approach for those who can’t find their healing in traditional mental health care. I do not offer solutions, but I offer process. I do not analyze; I accompany.
My own lived experiences with trauma, suicide, and identity fuel both my public speaking and academic contributions. I engage with topics like aftercare in suicide prevention, the politics of art in mental health, and the ways creativity opens doors where systems build walls.
But no matter how wide my reach becomes — I always return to the canvas.
Art is not my medium. It’s my root.
